Player Expectations
Players are expected to work hard, maintain excellence in the classroom, be on-time for practices, games, and other scheduled

events, show commitment to the program, and be role models for others in the school. Players are encouraged to play basketball and develop their skills, strength, and conditioning year round. Players are encouraged to participate in activities such as skills development camps, spring and summer leagues, strength and conditioning training, workout sessions, and open gym during the off-season. All players must work hard in the off-season, just as they would during the regular season. The off-season is when most individual player development occurs. Players are expected to take ownership of their individual development and team performance.
Coaches Expectations
Coaches are expected to have our teams as well prepared as possible, represent NVCA in a positive manner at all times, and not lose sight of the impact that we have on our young people’s lives. Coaches are expected to take ownership for their individual development and team preparation. Each coach is expected to take action annually to improve his/her coaching skills and knowledge.
