Christian education is not simply an alternative -- it is a distinctive.  Bible classes, chapels, dress codes, training in character and even teachers who are Christians do not make a school “Christian.”  Rather, the focus of Christian education is found in interpreting all of life and all subjects, from the arts to the sciences, through the lens of biblical truth.
Due to the fall of the human race, as recorded in Genesis 3, sin has corrupted, distorted and fragmented every discipline.  However, because of the Cross of Jesus Christ, we have the ability to turn this around, producing clarity of thought.  Christian thought becomes the unifying factor that brings the fragmented parts together into a whole.  Followers of Christ are compelled to be a part of His redemptive plan, not just in fulfilling the spiritual mandate of the Great Commission, but also in terms of leading and serving society in a variety of forms.  Our Lord challenged us to be “salt and light,” which carries with it the mandate to exercise wise stewardship of God’s world.  This is what makes the Christian school different from other academic institutions.

Our goal in the long term is to provide a school that serves families.  Because God made each of us unique, we recognize that families with more than one child have children with different and varied learning styles, strengths and weaknesses.  God does not make mistakes; we are all “fearfully and wonderfully made.”  NVCA strives to inclusively serve those families:

  • with gifted children requiring the challenges of a rigorous school environment;
  • with average children who simply need to be taught by teachers who know how to influence a child’s learning to an age-appropriate level;
  • with children who experience some struggles academically,

Through your gifts to Northern Virginia Christian Academy, you help educate students to grow into adults who will promote Christ-centered values and transform lives through the power of the Gospel.   But you also accomplish something else:  You enable NVCA to extend its ministry to those who cannot afford it.
That is why we need the help of friends like you — and why we ask you to please prayerfully consider supporting Northern Virginia Christian Academy.
